Queensland Police Find $4m in Car's Trunk

Police said a man was charged with money laundering after they found more than AU$4 million in cash in the trunk of a car in Calamvale, Queensland, on the morning of November 20.

Queensland Police said a patrol saw the man “acting suspiciously” near a vehicle parked on Ormskirk Street at around 5 am on Saturday. He placed a large suitcase in the boot of the vehicle as they approached and was “nervous and evasive” when police spoke to him.

This video, posted by Queensland Police on Twitter, shows a police officer cutting open a bag to reveal a large number of banknotes inside.

Police said more than AU$4.1 million was found.
