Russian and Belarusian Presidents Join Forces in Hockey Game

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko joined forces in an ice hockey game following talks in Saint Petersburg on December 29, officials said.

The presidents played on one team, with Putin donning the No 11 jersey and Lukashenko donning No 1. The presidents’ team won the game 18-7.

Retired Russian hockey players Alexei Kasatonov and Valery Kamensky also joined the game, a statement said. The men received state decorations this week. Credit: President of Belarus via Storyful
