Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s goals are to dismantle the European Union and isolate Ukraine from the rest of Europe, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on Feb. 12, as reported by public broadcaster Polskie Radio.

Following a meeting with his French and German counterparts, Sikorski noted the importance of fully enforcing the sanctions the EU has imposed on Russia. He focused on the need for Europe to counter Russian cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns.

German newspaper Bild, citing intelligence sources, recently reported that Russia may attempt to attack Europe towards the end of 2024 or early 2025, when the United States could be paralyzed by a chaotic presidential election.

On Dec. 6, 2023, U.S. President Joe Biden warned that Russia would attack NATO countries if it succeeded in conquering Ukraine.
