Refugees and migrants displaced by fires at the Moria camp on the Greek island of Lesbos marched toward the island’s capital, Mytilene, on September 11, demanding to be allowed to leave the island and enter Europe, according to reports.
Around 12,500 people were without shelter and basic supplies after fire destroyed the camp.
Local reports said police deployed reinforcements to the island on September 11. Both residents of the island and refugees were opposed to the reconstruction of a new camp, reports said.
