Protesting Airbus workers allegedly start forest fire after burning road barricade

Workers protesting the plans to close the Airbus factory in Puerto Real, Cadiz, Spain put up barricades on the CA-35 and set them on fire to block access to the capital on Wednesday, April 14. The adjacent pine forest caught fire. The exact cause is unknown, with some saying that the fire started due to the strong east wind sending sparks from the road fire, while others saying that a number of men were seen escaping from the pine forest before the fire in a bid to disrupt the demonstration.
