Protesters Practice Defensive Maneuvers in Yangon

Anti-military protesters were seen practicing defensive maneuvers in North Okkalapa, Yangon, on March 5.

This video, by Kaung Myat, shows a group of shield-bearing protesters moving in formation. In the face of a brutal security crackdown, protesters have taken to wearing hard hats, carrying shields, and, witness accounts showed, using fire extinguishers against tear gas canisters.

Protests continued across Myanmar on March 5, with one person reported killed in Mandalay.
