Protesters March in Queens, New York, Over Death of George Floyd

Demonstrators gathered outside the 114th Precinct in Astoria, New York, on June 2, as protests continued across the country following the death of George Floyd.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whose New York congressional district includes Astoria, attended the protest.

This video shows demonstrators marching from the police station through Astoria chanting the names of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, as well as “No justice, no peace,” and “Whose streets? Our streets.”

After announcing a citywide curfew on June 1, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio extended the measure until Sunday, June 7, after unrest and violence in the city. Credit: Ciaran O’Connor via Storyful
