Hundreds of people gathered in George Square in Glasgow, Scotland, to “protect” a war memorial on June 14, according to The Scotsman.
This video shows groups of people and police congregated in the square, which holds the Glasgow Cenotaph, erected to commemorate the lives of those who died in the First World War.
The Glasgow Times reported that clashes broke out protesters and counter-protesters in the square before police intervened.
The confrontation came a day after protests in London that saw over 100 people arrested in violent clashes between protesters and police. Credit: David Drover via Storyful
