Sri Lankan Protesters Descend on Police Headquarters in Colombo

Protesters marched on the Sri Lankan police headquarters in Colombo on June 9, marking two months since demonstrators started taking to the streets calling for President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to resign amid an economic crisis.

Footage streamed live to Facebook shows protesters pushing against a railing in front of police headquarters on Church Street. Other video showed police fired tear gas to disperse protesters.
