Protesters Demand Governor Andrew Cuomo's Resignation Outside Manhattan Office

Protesters gathered outside Gov Andrew Cuomo’s office in Manhattan on the morning of March 10 to demand his resignation and voice their disapproval of both the state’s COVID-19 nursing home deaths and Cuomo’s sexual harassment allegations.

Videos filmed by grassroots organization VOCAL-NY shows protesters chanting, “Tax the rich, house the poor” and “New York needs new leadership, Andrew Cuomo you should quit,” while holding banners labeled “Cuomo canceled New York” and “NY did not cancel Cuomo”.

NYPD officers equipped with zip-ties arrested four protesters for blocking vehicle traffic, local media reported.

Social media posts and local news reports claimed officers threatened to arrest reporters photographing the scene. Credit: VOCAL-NY via Storyful
