Protesters Burn Masks at Demonstration Against Idaho COVID Restrictions

Protesters burned face masks as part of a March 6 demonstration in Coeur d’Alene against restrictions in place in Idaho to limit the spread of coronavirus.

A similar protest was held outside the state capitol in Boise on the same day, according to reports.

Video posted to Twitter by Dave Reilly shows protesters, including some children, being invited by a speaker to burn their masks in a “smoking pot”.

Idaho’s Stay Healthy Order recommends people “should wear a face covering over their nose and mouth in indoor public settings or in an outdoor public space where they are unable to maintain six-feet physical distancing.”
