Located in the heart of the city core adjacent to the CBD, the City Hall / Clarke Quay area is a major shopping and entertainment district. It is ideal for those working in the CBD who wish to enjoy the convenience of living in the city centre.

Divided into two by the Singapore River, the area is served by multiple MRT stations:

  • Clarke Quay on the North East Line,

  • City Hall on the North South and East West Lines

D07 Beach Road / Bugis / Rochor

The Beach Road / Bugis / Rochor district lies at the edge of the CBD, while at the same time offering easy access to some of Singapore’s most vibrant cultural sights. It is an ideal location for those who work in the city centre, as well as anyone who wishes to take advantage of the cultural gems in the city core.

Lying to the north of the civic district, the area is served by MRT stations:

  • Bugis and Rochor on the Downtown Line

  • Nicoll Highway on the Circle Line

It is also bordered by Little India, City Hall and Orchard, and is about two MRT stops from the CBD.

The Bugis area is a major cultural and entertainment hub, and encompasses Kampong Glam with its hip bars and cafes on Arab Street and Haji Lane, the Bugis commercial area which includes popular malls such as Bugis Junction, and the heritage shophouses on Waterloo Street and Albert Street. The Rochor area has a youthful vibe thanks to major institutions SMU, SOTA, NAFA and LA SALLE College of the Arts.
