Prince William Needs Earplugs For Prince Louis's Newest Hobby
"That’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears,” William said of his youngest son's latest extracurricular activity.
Prince Louis is finally jumping on the royal hobby train, alongside his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. According to Prince William, though, his youngest son's hobby requires a special set of headgear for him to be able to put up with it.
William, The Telegraph reported, spoke with Rolling Stones bassist Ronnie Wood and former Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler at the Tusk Awards at The Savoy in London on November 27 and revealed that Louis has the musician gene and is learning how to play the drums.
“My youngest is learning the drums. That’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears,” William told Wood and Knopfler.
Out of William and Kate Middleton's their children, Louis's drum playing is by far the loudest hobby. The future king previously revealed that George prefers the water, and has taken a keen interest in scuba diving.
"George loves scuba diving. He's 11 years old. We took him under thinking he would freak out. He absolutely loves it," the Prince of Wales explained while speaking with Olympic swimmers Adam Peaty and Tom Dean during an October visit to the Birtley Community Pool in Tyne and Wear. "It's just introducing him to the world of water."
Like Louis, Charlotte also has an interest in the arts, but prefers dance. During William's September visit to to Swiss Valley Community Primary School, he spoke with student Ruby Davies, who had won an individual reciting competition earlier in the year. Royal fans got a peek William's conversation in a video shared by BBC that saw him saying, "Charlotte loves her dancing and performing as well, so I'm going to show her your video when I get home, see where I've been today."
Middleton has also gushed about Charlotte's love of dance—according to Hello!, the Princess of Wales spoke with a 7-year-old dance enthusiast names Emily May Catto in 2023 and told the young girl, "My daughter Charlotte likes dancing. She loves ballet and tap. Keep up the dancing."
