Prince William and Kate Middleton have revealed they've both been secretly answering helpline calls and texts from the public during the Coronavirus pandemic. Honestly, could they be any more wholesome?

Marking the one-year anniversary of the crisis text messaging helpline Shout 85258, which was developed by the Royal Foundation, the Duke of Cambridge revealed, "I'm going to share a little secret with you guys, but I'm actually on the platform volunteering."

William and Kate were speaking to volunteers from Shout over Zoom, as part of Volunteers' Week where they've been calling brilliant people from all over the country.

The Duchess of Cambridge also announced that she has been working as an NHS Volunteer Responder, part of a scheme which connects vulnerable people with volunteers in their community, set up by the Royal Voluntary Service.

Kate explained that she's been taking part in 'check in and chat' calls with vulnerable people and those who are self-isolating during the pandemic, as part of the NHS Responder scheme. Imagine picking up the phone to a Royal on the other end. That would brighten anyone's day, for sure.

In another call to volunteers from Conscious Youth, and organisation that supports BAME young people in West Yorkshire, Prince William said that homeschooling six-year-old Prince George has been daunting at time, admitting, "I struggle with year 2 maths."

Meanwhile, during a call with the Machynlleth Community Corona Response Group in Wales, William joked, "Can any of you explain to me why all of us were bulk-buying toilet roll?"

Somehow we don't reckon an empty Sainsbury's shelf will have been a problem for the Royals.
