President Biden Receives COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot

President Joe Biden delivered remarks and received his COVID-19 vaccine booster dose on camera on Monday, September 27.

Video streamed live by the White House captured Biden’s statement before he sat down to receive the shot.

According to the White House, the FDA and CDC recommended that those who received the Pfizer vaccine and are age 65 and older, at high-risk for severe COVID, or are frontline workers can go get their booster at least six months after receiving their second dose.

The additional dose would “increase people’s protection as we fight the Delta variant and try to end this pandemic,” the White House said.

Officials said they would continue to evaluate the need for booster shots for those that received Moderna and J&J coronavirus vaccines. Credit: The White House via Storyful
