Filming her latest movie was business as usual for expectant mom Margot Robbie.

A set source tells PEOPLE that the actress, who is pregnant with her and husband Tom Ackerley's first child, "was super professional and focused while filming" A Big Bold Beautiful Journey alongside costar Colin Farrell.

"She had long days, but it didn't seem like a big deal to her," the insider continues of Robbie, 34. "No one suspected that she was pregnant."

Directed by Kogonada (Columbus, After Yang), A Big Bold Beautiful Journey marks Robbie's first major acting project since the 2023 blockbuster Barbie, which she also co-produced.

"[Margot] looked amazing and seemed very happy," the source tells PEOPLE. "She got along with Colin, and they had fun filming."

Multiple sources confirmed the actress's pregnancy to PEOPLE on Sunday, July 7. Representatives for both Robbie and Ackerley, 34, did not respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment about their baby on the way.

Robbie and Ackerley were friends first, having worked together on the production company LuckyChap on a four-person producing team that also includes Robbie's childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara. LuckyChap has produced several films and TV series, including I, TonyaBirds of Prey and Barbie, all of which starred Robbie.

She and Ackerley married in December 2016 during a private ceremony in Australia's Byron Bay. And while they are generally private about their love life, Ackerley opened up to The Sunday Times in June about how he and his wife balance their personal and professional lives.

"[We spend] 24 hours a day [together]," he said. "It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing."

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is described as "an imaginative tale of two strangers and the unbelievable journey that connects them," according to Variety.

The movie, written by Seth Reiss (The Menu), also sees Robbie ditching Barbie's signature platinum locks. As seen in photos from the set in April, the three-time Academy Award nominee rocked long honey-blonde hair and wispy bangs sitting just below her eyebrows.

Aside from A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, Robbie has two game-focused movies in the works as a producer under her LuckyChap banner, following the success of Barbie.

Loki director Kate Herron is on board to work on a film adaptation of The Sims, and will also co-write the screenplay alongside Briony Redman, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

LuckyChap is also set to produce Monopoly movie, which will be distributed by Lionsgate and also produced by Hasbro Entertainment.
