A powerful waterspout formed off the coast of Golden Beach in Aventura, Florida, and was classified as a tornado after it made landfall on August 19, according to officials. No injuries were reported.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said the waterspout was initially spotted off Sunny Isles Beach at around 1.14 pm. It moved north and briefly made landfall in the northern half of the town of Golden Beach, resulting in some minor damage to property and trees, according to the NWS.
