Postal Carrier Dad Sends Daughter Sweet Retirement Video on Last Day of 26-Year Career

A daughter woke up to a very special video message from her father, who was finally retiring from his job with the United States Postal Service (USPS) on December 29.

The video, recorded by Anthony Vives and sent to his daughter Annabelle Rose Vives, shows Anthony capturing the moment of his official retirement, repeating the words “I’m done” with a huge smile on his face.

Anthony can be seen walking outside a house in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles back to his mail truck.

“I’m officially retired; thank you, Lord, I’m done,” he can be heard saying in the clip.

Annabelle told Storyful that her father has been “working for the USPS for over 26 years” and has been on the same delivery route for “22 years.”

Annabelle added that the neighborhood “absolutely adored him. They gave him the sweetest Christmas presents and threw him a block party too,” she said. Credit: Annabelle Rose Vives via Storyful

- OK, and then this is it. I'm done. I'm officially retired. Thank you, Lord. And then it's a little bit rainy. I don't care, but I'm done. Thank you, Lord. I'm done. OK, maybe I'm going to go home now.

This is it for me. Hey, baby, I'm done. This is it. Hi, sweetheart, I'm done. Thank you, Lord.
