Possum Disappears Into the Night After Grabbing Apple Treat
A New South Wales resident treated a possum that arrived on her balcony to a slice of apple, with the small marsupial grabbing the piece of fruit from a window sill before disappearing up a nearby tree and into the night.
TikTok user @veronicadownunder, a resident of Lake Macquarie, shared footage of the interaction to her page on September 11.
She and other residents of the area have become accustomed to sharing their locality with all types of marsupials.
The footage shows the possum moving toward the apple, with the animal taking a quick sniff of the fruit before planting its teeth in it, then jumping onto a nearby branch, and making its way up a tree. Credit: @veronicadownunder via Storyful
