Portugal will be taken off the UK’s “green list” of foreign travel destinations, due to an increase in infection rates and detections of the Nepal mutation of the Delta Covid variant. The popular holiday destination will go on to the amber list from next Tuesday, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps confirmed the latest news. Travellers arriving back to the UK from an amber list country must quarantine for 10 days. Only 11 countries will now be on the green list, including Iceland.
