At CES 2022, Samsung is showcasing a brand-new and particularly original portable projector with multiple uses. Called the Freestyle, it projects a Full HD image onto any surface, all while offering access to multiple streaming platforms. It can even be used as a connected speaker.

Easily transportable, compact and light (weighing less than a kilo), the Freestyle has an original design, taking the shape of an old-fashioned spotlight. It connects directly to any smartphone, to share photos and videos in all kinds of situations. And, it allows users to enjoy content from their favorite streaming sites (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, etc.).

From a technical point of view, the Freestyle projects a Full HD (1080p) image that is HDR10 compliant and can reach a maximum size of 100 inches. It has an effortless autofocus function and 180-degree tilt, enabling the device to project images on a wall or ceiling. Note that the projector is compatible with several voice assistants, such as Bixby, evidently, as well as Alexa.

The Freestyle can also be used as a wireless speaker, providing 360-degree sound for enjoying music wherever, whenever. And for gamers, the speaker can be paired with a games console or laptop. Plus, the projector can be connected to a computer and used to project professional documents or presentations.

The Samsung Freestyle is available to pre-order, priced $899.99 in the US.
