Pop-Up Floating Basketball Court Set Up on Thames as NBA Celebrates Anniversary

A floating basketball court was erected on London’s River Thames on June 9 to kick off three days of celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of the National Basketball Association and the league’s ongoing 2022 finals.

The court was the latest of Hennessy’s installations in their Courts Beyond Limits series, which has set up temporary basketball courts in such places as Australia’s Bondi Beach, in front of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taiwan, atop a Shanghai skyscraper, and at Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos, Nigeria.
