Polluted Foam Forms Along River Near Colombian Capital

Footage shot on April 24 shows polluted foam spread across areas surrounding the Bojaca River in Mosquera, a municipality just west of Colombia’s capital Bogata.

Mosquera’s mayor Gian Gerometta said the foam was caused by high levels of pollutants from regions upriver.

Gerometta said health authorities inspected the area and “found that there are no effects on the population that are related to this environmental problem.”
