Thousands of Polish authorities remained stationed at the border with Belarus after a large group of migrants attempted to cross into Poland near the village of Kuznica on Monday, November 8.
This footage released on Monday night by the Polska Policja captures a quiet scene at the border, where thousands of migrants had set up camp earlier in the day.
Belarusian media outlet Nexta said the migrants were mostly Kurds from Iraq.
Police from Bialystok, Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, and Lodz were on the scene, according to the Polish police service.
The gathering at the border came amid tensions between Poland and Belarus over migration.
Poland has accused Belarus of a “deliberate escalation of tension” at the border. The EU said Belarus had made “attempts to destabilise the EU and its member states by facilitating irregular migration for political purposes.” Credit: Polska Policja via Storyful
