Police Respond to Reports of Explosion in Dunwoody, Georgia

Police in Dunwoody, Georgia, said they were responding to calls of an explosion at an apartment complex on Sunday afternoon, September 12.

Video shared on Twitter shows emergency vehicles on the scene in Dunwoody, northeast of Atlanta.

Dunwoody Police said the department received calls about an explosion at the Arrive Perimeter apartment complex around 1.24 pm on Sunday.

“Officers are on scene now with members of the Dekalb County and Sandy Springs Fire Department attempting to assess the situation and treat those injured. Please avoid this area,” police wrote on Facebook.

“This is a very active scene and the cause of the explosion will be under investigation. DeKalb County Fire Rescue will put out more when known,” police said.
