Police Pepper Spray Protesters in Paris as Pension Reform Protests Continue

Police in Paris were seen using pepper spray on a crowd of student protesters in Paris, footage posted on Friday, March 17, showed.

The student demonstration was being held in support of the garbage collectors’ strike in the French capital, according to local reports.

Refuse collectors in the city voted to continue their strike action over the country’s pension reforms until at least March 20, France Info reported.

Approximately 7,600 tons of waste has not been collected in Paris since the beginning of the strike, according to France Info.
