A police officer brought Mario Kart to life in Rocklin, California, recently after responding to a call about potential vandalism, officials said.
The Rocklin Police Department wrote on Facebook on September 2: “Officers Platina and Guillermo were dispatched to one of our local schools regarding a possible vandalism call, involving juveniles with neon lights playing on the blacktop. After determining it was some of our community members playing Go Kart basketball, Officer Guillermo decided to join in on the fun and reenact one of his favorite childhood video games, Mario Kart!”
Footage of Officer Guillermo shows him driving in a small vehicle lit up by neon lights. “How come yours ain’t going as fast as theirs, man?” an onlooker asks jokingly. Guillermo then sharply turns before collapsing out of the vehicle. Credit: Rocklin Police Department via Storyful
