Police Say Man Struggled With Ignition Before Stealing $9,000 Mower From Church

Chesterfield County Police in Virginia posted footage on November 19 described as showing a suspect struggling with the ignition on a mower worth more than $9,000 before stealing it from a church in Richmond.

The incident occurred at Mt Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries on October 7, police said. A man is seen approaching and then inside a storage shed. He takes several attempts to turn the mower on before finally succeeding.

Police said the suspect drove the mower, a green and yellow 2020 John Deere Z915E ZTrak, away toward nearby Hull Street Road. The suspect had tattoos on both arms and appeared to be wearing eyeglasses, police said.
