Police Fire Tear Gas at Protesters Near Presidential Palace in Sri Lanka

Protesters in Colombo, Sri Lanka, marched towards the presidential palace on July 9, where they were met with tear gas and clashed with police.

Video posted to social media showed a cloud of gas near the president’s residence in Colombo as demonstrations continued against President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
