Police Fire Tear Gas, Chase Down Protesters During May Day Demonstrations in Paris

Protesters clashed with police in Paris, France, on May 1, during May Day demonstrations.

Le Monde reported 116,500 people participated in May Day protests across France, including 24,000 in Paris, citing the country’s Ministry of Interior.

According to Le Parisien, at least 54 people were arrested in Paris on Sunday.
