Police Confirm Victims After Gunfire Heard in Northwest DC

Police said at least three people were shot after loud volleys of gunfire were heard across the Van Ness neighborhood of Washington on the afternoon of April 22.

Police said on Twitter that two adult males and one juvenile female were shot on the 2900 block of Van Ness Street, and said officers were still “conducting active sweeps” of the area.

This footage shows armed officers and an armored police vehicle approaching the AVA Van Ness apartment building, located at 2950 Van Ness Street, as they responded to the incident.
