PM Ismail Sabri's to give 'special message' at 3pm on Monday

Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob will deliver a "special message" live on television and YouTube at 3pm on Monday (10 October).

The announcement was made via his Twitter account at about 1pm.

The address comes amid mounting speculation that he is likely to announce the dissolution of Parliament.

Although a poll is not due till September next year, there have been talks of General Election 15 (GE15) happening despite the monsoon season approaching.

Malaysia's 15th general election (GE) must be held within 60 days of parliament's dissolution.

UPDATE: Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has confirmed the dissolution of Parliament from Monday, 10 October 2022.
