Plow Crews Work Overnight to Clear Snow-Covered Roads in Northwest Iowa

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned drivers to be cautious on snow-covered roads in northwestern Iowa on Thursday, January 19.

Nearly four inches of snow fell overnight in the area, the NWS reported.

Video posted by the City of Sioux Center on Thursday shows officials working to clear snow. The city said the crew had “been out since midnight and they’re still out there, blowing, plowing, and hauling snow as fast as they safely can.”

The NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook for the region, saying that “lingering light snow will gradually end” Thursday morning. Credit: City of Sioux Center via Storyful
