Rain would continue in Alabama on the afternoon of Thursday, February 6, the National Weather Service (NWS) said, after heavy rains and high winds hit the state the day before.

Shortly after noon on Thursday, the NWS Birmingham tweeted, “Plenty of rain is still left for most of the area. Water levels are rising and we’re starting to see reports of roads closed,” then reminded motorists not to drive through water-covered roads. Credit: AL.com via Storyful
