1) The Maldives
Private islands in the Maldives are having a moment. In June, the resort Velaa Private Island will open its first well being village, combining Eastern and Western wellness practices supplemented by a serenity pavilion for yoga, meditation, and Pilates, as well as a restaurant focused on clean eating. South as the crow flies is Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithafuushi (pictured), a resort with its own private island for up to 24 guests, an Aqua Wellness Center with a custom pool that fights jet lag, and 11 luxe dining destinations between them.

2) Hudson Valley, New York
Troutbeck is a 250-acre estate hotel beckoning weary city-dwellers north to the ever-agreeable Hudson Valley. If the Frette linens don’t cut it for you, the property recently debuted Benton House, boasting 13 renovated guest rooms designed by Champalimaud Design, the firm responsible for two of our favorite bungalows at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The rooms feature screened-in porches that act as outdoor living rooms in the summertime, allowing guests to take full advantage of the views onto the nearby river bend. Idyllic much?

3) Vienna
The new Rosewood Vienna is housed in a 19th-century neoclassical landmark building, designed in 1835 by the Austrian architect Alois Pichl. Its renovation was overseen by two local architectural firms, alongside London-based Alexander Waterworth Design Studio, making it the perfect vantage point for history buffs looking to tackle Vienna’s Old Town. Trish Luyckx, executive vice president of global design and project services for Rosewood Hotels, cites the city’s traditions of design and handicraft—not to mention its imperial heritage—as ample reason to book a trip today.

4) Islas Secas, Panama
An archipelago located off the coast of Panama, Islas Secas is centered on sustainability and conservation. Surrounded by one of the greatest protected marine zones in the world, the resort is also a prime spot to go whale watching off the Pacific Coast this June. Eco-conscious travelers will appreciate that the 14 islands that comprise Islas Secas are run on solar energy, while food waste is composted and wastewater is reused for irrigation. But everyone will appreciate those views.

5) Florence
Centrally located on the Piazza della Repubblica, Hotel Savoy, A Rocco Forte Hotel, is an iconic address just steps from the city’s most famous landmarks. Guests can spend the day truffle hunting with Giulio, the hotel’s dedicated truffle concierge, or check out the Florence Dance Festival. If the city center isn’t calling your name, head to the Tuscan hills for the June workshops at Villa Lena, including a yoga retreat and natural perfume making.

6) Paris
They say Paris is always a good idea—but now, it’s a fact. According to data from the luxury travel firm Virtuoso, Paris is the most-booked European city, ahead of Rome and London. Even though hotel rates in the City of Light average higher than elsewhere on the continent, travelers are still arriving in droves for the markets, restaurants, department stores, and joie de vivre. Is it the Emily in Paris effect? Or the lure of fabulous new hotels, including LVMH’s Peter Marino–designed Cheval Blanc Paris? The jury is out, but we imagine it’s a little bit of both.

7) Todos Santos, Mexico
An hour north of Los Cabos, the 300-year-old town of Todos Santos is a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and home to Paradero, a 41-suite luxury resort that abuts the Sierra Laguna Mountains. Paradero aims to reorient guests around their locality, appreciating farm-to-table dining as much as the impeccable nearby surf. The Ojo de Agua wellness center is inspired by secret watering holes in the area, while vegetables are sourced from an on-site garden, overseen by Chef Eduardo Ríos. If nothing else, the recently launched Paradero Sea of Cortez, a multinight sailing and dining experience exclusively for guests, needs to be on your radar.

8) Burgundy, France
A barge might not say “summer” the way a yacht does, but that’s only because you haven’t tried a luxury barge journey through the canals of Burgundy. Just ask Protravel International adviser Mari Marks, who recommends Les Bateaux Belmond, an all-inclusive experience available by private charter. “June is a wonderful time to visit Burgundy,” Marks says. “The weather is perfect for dining alfresco.” Itineraries for the six-night experience can be customized (i.e., the perfect time to hit up those bucket list wineries, thanks to Belmond’s relationships with many local producers), and the croissants are fresh. What more could you ask for?

9) Prague
Devoted urbanites will want to put the Czech Republic at the top of their calendars this season, with the opening of the new Almanac X Prague, a century-old landmark hotel that draws on its original architect’s Bauhaus and Art Deco inspirations. The Barcelona-based firm Tres Cinco Uno Creative Studio worked with local architecture firm Marani to modernize the 178 guest rooms, 26 suites, and public spaces, incorporating a color palette inspired by the facades, roofs, and historic buildings of the city, alongside artworks by local painters and local materials like Czech limestone and pendant lighting that nods to the country’s glass traditions.

10) Bodrum, Turkey
On the western point of Turkey’s Bodrum peninsula sits the Bodrum EDITION, a boutique hotel with 108 guest rooms, suites, and villas looking out onto the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Known as a lively party town, Bodrum is also a great place to kick back and relax come early summer. Guests can gear up for water sports and sailing or decompress at the gym and spa, comprised of eight treatment rooms, outdoor cabanas, and, of course, a hammam. Cap it all off with a cocktail at the beach club or a dip in the hotel’s infinity pool—or both.
