Planes Parade Over Denver to Raise Funds for COVID-19 Relief

“War birds,” propellor planes, and small jets took part in a 40-plane flyover fundraiser in Colorado on May 14, local media reported.

A total of 40 different planes were scheduled to fly around to raise funds for HelpColoradoNow.org. The planes were mainly flown by volunteer pilots, who were hoping to put smiles on faces and raise money for Colorado’s COVID-19 relief fund.

The fund will be overseen by a committee of community leaders from across Colorado. Funds will provide “flexible resources” to communities who are “disproportionately impacted by the outbreak,” the Mile High United Way said on its website.
