Planes Help Fight Fire Threatening Homes Around Cheney

A number of firefighting planes were seen in the sky above Cheney, Washington, on July 5, as the Andrus Fire burned nearby.

The Spokesman-Review said the fire had burned between 250 and 300 acres by latest updates on July 5, and was threatening properties.

This video was posted by Trooper J Sevigney and shows several planes in action.

Sevigney posted late on July 5 to say the planes had been released for the night.

He also said most of those under evacuation orders could return, though they should remain vigilant. A Level 3 evacuation order remained in place for one area. Credit: Trooper J Sevigney via Storyful
