Petaling Jaya district police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal melted hearts when he visited a teenage theft victim and presented him with a handphone.

Yesterday the PJ district police posted a video of Nik Ezanee presenting the phone to Muhammad Nor Faizal Nordin, whose phone was stolen from his burger stall at Jalan Nuri in Section 7, Kota Damansara.

Nor Faizal’s younger brother, who works part-time selling burgers during the school holidays, had left the stall to go to the toilet.

Among the items stolen were mobile phones, cash, and items for sale.

After hearing this, Nik Ezanee decided to donate a mobile phone to encourage the two teenagers to continue to face challenges in life.

The video showed the district police chief expressing his admiration for the hardworking teens, while a beaming Nor Faizal was too shy to make any comments.

Nik Ezanee also encouraged the youth to stay focused on schoolwork and to avoid those who may attempt to lead him astray with drugs and gangs.

"I am proud of them. Even though they were victims of theft, they still came out and worked hard at the stall," he said.
