Piolo Pascual addresses possibility of doing "Monarch"

3 Oct – Piolo Pascual is not putting high hopes on being cast in season 2 of his son's American series, "Monarch" despite his high chances.

The actor, who spoke about son Inigo Pascual's success in nabbing a role in a Hollywood project, stated that his son had called him up before about the possibility of Piolo playing the father of Inigo's character in the series.

It is noted that Inigo's character, Ace, is the grandson of "Monarch" lead character Dottie, played by Susan Sarandon, and is adopted from the Philippines.

"I just told him that we'll cross the bridge when we get there. There is no word yet if there will be a season 2. I should say that acting in Hollywood is already a different ball game," he said.

However, the actor does admit that he is proud of Inigo, who is able to star in his first US show at the age of 25.

"I'd be more than proud to be called 'the father of Inigo Pascual.' I actually got a text message asking me how it feels that my surname, Pascual, is already part of the credits of a major Hollywood show. That is already a blessing. Inigo has really gone a long way," he added.
