In addition to Pantone’s two colours of the year (ultimate grey and illuminating yellow), there’s one other shade that is popping up everywhere this season. From social media feeds to official government visits, it's time to think pink.

Following Dr. Jill Biden and Kate Middleton's recent outings in the United Kingdom, vibrant shades of pink are back in fashion’s good books. According to a recent Lyst data drop, global searches for pink blazers spiked 170 per cent this week, and searches for pink midi dresses are up 63 per cent over the previous week.

It makes sense that the fashion world is taking notice of the traditionally feminine colour, as pink has also recently been spotted on other high-profile women like Vice President Kamala Harris, model Alessandra Ambrosio and Carrie Johnson, U.K. prime minister Boris Johnson's wife.
