Pikachus Protest Japan's Coal Industry at COP26

Climate activists dressed as the Pikachu Pokemon character protested against Japan’s coal industry at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow on Thursday, November 4.

Video posted by the No Coal Japan group shows five people in inflatable Pikachu costumes holding a banner and chanting “No coal Japan”. The group said, “Pikachus traveled all the way to Glasgow to call on Japan to end support for coal and other fossil fuel projects.”
