23 Feb - It looks like a path to more international projects is now clearer for Singaporean actor Pierre Png, who has inked a deal with Luber Roklin Entertainment and Gersh for representation in the United States.
Png, known to the global audience through his role as Astrid Leong's husband Michael Teo in the hit film, "Crazy Rich Asians" and to Asian fans most as Phua Chu Beng from the sitcom, "Phua Chu Kang", is already represented by Mediacorp's The Celebrity Agency, which also teamed with Luber Roklin and Gersh.
"Over the years, Pierre has evolved into a versatile actor, winning Best Actor in both local and regional awards shows, and cementing his popular appeal in the region. Following his latest success in the movie Crazy Rich Asians, we are excited to be able to open more doors and showcase his talents to a wider audience through collaboration with our partners, and hope to see him in action again on the global stage," said Ivy Low, Head of The Celebrity Agency.
Matt Luber, who spoke about Png being a part of the company, expressed, "We are excited to bring Pierre into our fold, he is an extremely talented actor with worldwide appeal."
Png's most recent work was the Mandarin-language dramas, "My Guardian Angel" and "Jungle Survivor".
Luber Roklin represents some of the most renowned actors in the world, including director Sam Feder, actors Ben Barnes, Paul Walker, John Bradley, Sean Astin, and actress Camila Mendes.
