Piece of Parthenon temple returns to Greece

It was returned to Athens from a museum in Sicily

"It is a marvellous way that the Sicilian friends and Italian friends thought about to bring it back where it was born."

The 12-by-14-inch 'Fagan fragment'

shows the foot of the ancient Greek goddess Artemis

Officials hope the move will prompt the return of other artifacts

many of which are held by the British Museum

(SOUNDBITE)(English) GREEK PRIME MINISTER KYRIAKOS MITSOTAKIS SAYING:

"It paves the way also for the British museum to enter into serious discussions with the Greek authorities in order to find a solution that would be mutually acceptable."
