Western Australian residents took advantage of relaxed COVID-19 restrictions, taking to beachside parks for picnics on April 28 after the government allowed public gatherings of up to 10 people.

The state’s Premier Mark McGowan announced the loosening of restrictions on April 26, citing “remarkable” results after the state recorded several days with no new cases.
