Pensioner, 69, tries to rob bank by passing scrawled threatening note under counter
Alan Slattery, 69, slipped the scrawled message to shocked workers at a string of banks in two seaside towns saying someone "will get hurt" if he wasn't given cash from the till.
The 'shameless' OAP walked into the National Building Society in St Leonards and in Bexhill as well as a Natwest in Bexhill, East Sussex, demanding staff hand him money in 10s and 20s notes.
- Sir, I'm here to arrest you. On the 10th, there was some incidents involving banks. So I'm arresting you on suspicion of attempted robbery, three separate offenses of attempted robbery, which occurred on the tenth of February in Bexhill and St Leonards.
