Paulina Porizkova shares 'stunning' lingerie photo to tackle aging stereotypes: 'Sexy has no expiration date'

Paulina Porizkova isn't afraid to show some skin.

On Tuesday, the 56-year-old model stripped down for her more than 700,000 followers to prove that "sexy has no expiration date."

"Getting ready," she captioned the photo of herself posing in a black lingerie set, adding the hashtags "between J.Lo and Betty White," "sexy has no expiration date" and "fun at night."

The former Sports Illustrated model's post was met with praise from her fans for continuing to redefine the stereotype that women lose value or become less attractive as they age.

"Thank you so much for sharing this, Paulina!" one Instagram user wrote. "Not only do you look absolutely beautiful, but you're setting an example for all women that think they're suddenly less sexy after the age of 40 and it's all downhill from there — it's not! You're just as beautiful as you've always been just in a different way and people need to start realizing that's how aging works."

"Goddess! Of course, sexy has no expiration date," added another. "Stunning as always."

"You go, girl," one fan cheered. "You make aging look beautiful and it is."

"Thank you for representing women our age as the beauties we continue to be!" someone else commented.

"Women can be sexy at any age!" one person added.

"A beautiful woman is always going to be beautiful in many different ways throughout her life," another mused. "Age doesn't determine whether or not someone is physically beautiful, so thank you for proving that and for continuously representing women over 50."

Earlier this week, Porizkova shared a powerful message about how many women feel "invisible" as they get older.

"I believe our aging faces and bodies are not caving ceilings that need to be fixed," she wrote. "It’s only a different kind of beauty that is not quite accepted or seen. It’s the lushness of summer heading into the colour explosion of the fall.

"It's a different kind of beauty," she added. "One to be celebrated and embraced for its change. We all have personal preferences for the seasons, but it doesn’t negate the beauty of each. It's up to us, the sisterhood, to applaud one another until the rest catch up."
