Passengers Sit in Darkness as Power Failure Prompts Delays at LAX

Power outages at Los Angeles International Airport led to dozens of flight delays on November 1.

Over 30 flights were delayed, according to local news, as crews assessed the issue.

LAX said the disruption was caused by a “power bump,” which CBS Los Angeles reporters said appeared to be a reference to a power surge.

Twitter user @soshitan posted this footage showing the scene in Terminal 6. “Goodbye y’all it’s the apocalypse,” they joked.
