MUAR, Nov 11 — A PAS politician has apologised after saying voters who chose Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) will be condemned to hell.

Sik PAS Youth chief Mohd Shahiful Nasir Mhd Nasir was seen in a video making the remark during a ceramah last night.

“I, Mohd Shahiful Mhd Nasir would like to apologise to all parties who were offended by my speech that went viral today.

“Matters of heaven and hell are not decided based only on support for Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Harapan, but generally involves good or bad deeds.

“Again, I would like to apologise to everyone over the mistake that I made in my speech,” he said in a short video posted on the Pemuda PAS Sik Facebook page.

In a short clip of his ceramah last night, Mohd Shahiful, who was stumping for Perikatan Nasional (PN), called on Sik voters to vote for the coalition and not BN or PH.

“Remember my advice to all voters in Sik who are going to vote. When you go back, cross PN. Whoever who crosses BN and PH, esok pi neraka (tomorrow, you will go to hell),” he could be heard saying.

The excerpt of his ceramah was shared on a Facebook page, Ibnu Ahmad.

Most ensuing comments criticised Mohd Shahiful who is also a Muslim preacher.
