She recently revealed that she is undergoing IVF, and now Paris Hilton has said it would be her "dream" to have a son and daughter.

The TV star and businesswoman, 40, opened up about her journey to motherhood in a new interview.

Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine, she said: "I don’t know anything about how this all works, but it’s my dream to have a boy and a girl."

It comes after she previously said, in January, that she wanted to have twins.

Hilton – who is due to marry 40-year-old tech entrepreneur Carter Reum – told The Trend Reporter with Mara podcast that the process had been "tough".

It has not been confirmed by Hilton, who has already completed the egg retrieval process, why they have decided to opt for IVF.

Her fertility journey is likely to be covered in her upcoming TV show, Paris In Love, which will also document the run-up to her wedding.

During her latest interview, the star – who is also fronting a new Netflix show, Cooking With Paris – added: "Carter is the opposite of every guy I’ve ever met before.

"He’s very business-focused and not into the Hollywood scene. I’ve never experienced that before, so it’s amazing to know that someone loves me for me and doesn’t want the spotlight."

The pair have been dating since Thanksgiving in 2019, and announced earlier this month that they were engaged.

Last August, Hilton revealed that Kim Kardashian had encouraged her to freeze her eggs in order to fulfil her dreams of motherhood.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, the reality favourite said she had been “inspired” by the mother-of-four, who previously worked as her personal stylist, after an “amazing conversation”.
