Paris Fashion Week Men's: up-and-coming Doublet shows in low-key restaurant

Doublet's 2020 fall show for the Paris Men's Fashion Week

On the third day of Paris Men's Fashion week, emerging label Doublet distinguished itself with a tongue-in-cheek presentation in a low-key Japanese restaurant where its new collection was unveiled. By Natalia Grgona of Paris Modes TV.

Humor and informality were the watchwords for the presentation of the latest Doublet collection by Masayuki Ino, the winner of the 2018 LVMH Award. This was evident off the bat in the Japanese designer's choice of venue which was an understated family-run restaurant that serves Japanese food along with such Western delicacies as pizza, hamburgers and French fries.

Once the guests were seated, the stage was set for a runway show in which a heterogeneous bunch of men and women seemed to be delighted to spend a friendly moment together.

As for the clothes, here the designer showed his talent for controlled volumes and topstitched seams, and threw a food theme and wild colors into the bargain.
